Go to Pata Pata for authentic South African food, Little Addis Cafe if you’re in the mood for an Ethiopian meal or Cilantros for an extensive wine list and vegan options. Proud Mary deserves an honorable mention, this restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Whether you have a taste for French toast, risotto, or a burger and fries, this is the place to dine!
3. Nightlife is unforgettable here. Johannesburg takes the cake when it comes to the night scene. There are so many genres of music to enjoy: Amapiano, Gqom, Hip Hop, House—just to name a few. Listen to me: You will dance, you won't be able to sit still! The energy is infectious. My friends and I are still talking about when we danced all night to Uncle Waffles’ set at Cosmopolitan in Maboneng last year. If you want to dance until the sun comes up, be sure to make your way to Liv Nightclub and Opera Lounge as well. Not much of a dancer? Untitled Basement is the venue for you. You can’t go wrong with the laid-back vibe and live music here.

Now the truth is, there are more than 3 reasons to visit South Africa but once you do a bit of research on your own, you’ll see that there was no need for me to do any more convincing.
